Career

Peroš has been active in the entertainment industry for more than twenty-six years. He started his career in 1995 as a theater artist.

During his initial days as an actor, he acted in the Croatian National Theatre. Along with being a talented actor, he is also a skillful puppeteer who even worked at the Zagreb Puppet Theater.

After earning enough experience from the theater, Peroš then made his way to the film industry.

He worked here and there before being recognized for his role in the film The Three Men of Melita Žganjer, released in 1998.

After gaining success in The Three Men of Melita Žganjer, Peroš appeared in many films like While at War, Black Beach, and the recent one, El Arte de Volver.

Besides appearing in films, Peroš also has done many TV shows like Kud puklo da puklo, Borgia, and most popular among his TV project, Money Heist.

In the popular series Money Heist, Peroš portrays the role of Jakov, who goes by the name Marseille.

In the show, Marseille’s only family was his dog, Pamuk, which in Turkish means cotton. He had named his dog after one of the villages in Hungary. After his dog died, he kept a ferret named Sofia as his pet.

Throughout the show, Marseille does not enter the location of heists but helps the professor from the outside. He works as a fieldman for the professor and mediates between the police and the professor.

Marseille has now become one of the main characters of the show from a recurring character.

The role of Marseille has brought him worldwide recognition and has increased the number of his fans.
