Originally from Chicago, Illinois, USA, Hugh Hefner was born on 9 April 1926. He is the father of David Hefner.

He is also the founder of “Playboy” Magazine. With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a double minor in creative writing, he graduated.

He was also known for associating with the Democratic Party. He served in the US Army for two years from the year 1944 to 1946.

He and his first wife, Mildred “Millie” Williams gave birth to David in 1955. They got divorced in 1959.

Hugh launched the first issue of playboy in 1953 that featured a nude calendar shoot of Marilyn Monroe the famous actress in the 50s. The magazine started growing more and more after which he got rich and his business went booming.

He was recognized as well as criticized by many for his work but he still kept going on.

He was married twice after his divorce from Millie; to Kimberly Conrad and Crystal Harris.

After he died, he left these assets and company to his 4 children and his then-current wife Crystal Harris.

After getting a divorce from Hugh, Millie married another man named Edwin Gun. Due to some reason this marriage didn’t last long. They got divorced too. Soon after the divorce, they changed their surname again from Gunn to Hefner.

David has three siblings, out of which one is his biological sister, Christine Hefner and the other two are his half-siblings, Marston Hefner and Cooper Hefner who were born to Hugh and Kimberley Conrad.

Christine started working at Playboy in 1975 where she became the CEO in 1988. Marston wasn’t much in the limelight but he was sentenced to one year of jail for domestic violence on the suspicion of attacking his girlfriend.

Cooper is the youngest sibling of all and is currently the Creative officer of Playboy enterprises and is also the founder as well as former CEO of Hop, the media company.
